Pacman 134.5, WBC Champ David 135 -Bazooka Joe: Manny Pacquiao Firepower Shoots Down David Diaz In Ninth Round!

Pacman 134.5, WBC Champ David 135

Bazooka Joe: Manny Pacquiao Firepower Shoots Down David Diaz In Ninth Round!

By -- Michael Marley

With all the whacked out characters who scribble for Boxingconfidential, I thought for sure at least one would defy logic and pick David Diaz to upset Megamanny Pacquiao Saturday night in Las Vegas.

I might’ve been tempted but Diaz will be like an unarmed combatant trying to hold off an opponent with a bazooka. Look, in a world order where there was one world champion and not four world titles available, DD would not be a strapholder. He cannot float like a beautiful butterfly but he does seem to sting like a moth.

The stars are all in alignment for Pacman. He weighed 134.5 to Diaz’s limit weight, 135.

I’m going on record as saying Pacman floor the Chicago gamester twice en route to a ninth-round stoppage. I would not be surprised if gentle soul Jim Strickland hurls the white towel in from his perch in Diaz’s corner. DD will quickly realize that he’s not fighting a wheels going off, wheezing, broken down Erik Morales.

Isn’t winning by decision enough for Megamanny? No, because Coach Roach is talking KO and such a victory would really get the promotional ball rolling for Pacquiao-Hatton.

Our imbedded Pacmaniac, Hermie Rivera, tells us that Pacman will not, repeat not, travel to the UK to fight Barroom Ricky.

“No way,” Rivera said, “Manny will insist on Vegas as a neutral ground.”

PACQUIAO TKO 9, IT SAYS HERE.

(mlcmarley@aol.com)
